I am not afraid to say that Obama has no intention of “fixing” this economy, as though economies easily succumb to tinkering by outside forces. The farther this economy spirals out of control – increasing joblessness, additional losses on the Dow, heightened panic – the more intense the calls for the Messiah to save the country. He has already used this fear – and stokes this fear daily by reminding us frequently of the crisis and catastrophe that only government can remedy – to shove a $1.2 trillion spending bill down our throats with no dissent or discussion, and to pry our mouths open again to force his pork-laden omnibus bill down the hatch as well. The goals of the Obama administration do not include a booming economy, a renewed job market, and more Americans entering the ranks of the successful and prosperous. I am not just a blowhard, cynical conservative speaking out of emotion and bitterness after a lost election. Here is my proof that the Obama plan is more cynical than they would have you believe.

It comes down to charity. Part of Obama’s plan includes eliminating the charitable tax deduction for families with incomes of $250,000 or more. Why? Of ALL the deductions he could eliminate, why that one? This is the deduction that encourages Americans of goodwill to share their ever-dwindling paychecks with suffering people and animals of all stripes. Wealthier Americans keep charities afloat, especially during hard times, just as they keep the US Treasury afloat and the economy in general afloat. The purpose of discouraging the selflessness of Americans is to foster increasing dependency on the federal government. Instead of private citizens deciding which charities are worthy of their hard-earned dollars, President Obama will decide which charities meet his standards for receipt of tax dollars. Yet another aspect of our lives will be under the Obama command and control. What is the old saying? Want more of something – subsidize it. Want less of something – tax it. Obama is blatantly, and with little uproar, dampening the giving spirit of the American people for the purposes of supporting solely his constituencies and pet projects, and permanently establishing the nanny state. Think groups like National Right to Life will be on the receiving end of the Obama generosity? Faith-based groups like Salvation Army? What about Planned Parenthood? I’m sure they think this plan is a sweet deal.
This is disgusting, immoral, and evil and SHOULD fail. Shame on Obama and any legislator who sits idly by while the Obama Charities redistributes money to unsupportable and atrocious causes.

I am feeling similar psychosomatic signs on an hourly basis, and they intensify with each new blaring headline on the Drudge Report. The spiraling destruction of our country – economically, morally, emotionally – is taking its toll on me and millions of others who are terrified of the financial black hole Obama and Congress are digging.

In the past 37 days, Obama has run up a deficit three times higher than President Bush did in 8 years. He expects the middle class, upper middle class, and wealthy to carry the burden of his agenda. But that’s no new MO – liberals usually do. The crime is that he is already taxing my infant daughter and unborn grandchildren for the sole purpose of creating a permanent voting majority completely dependent on Democrats to save them from the “crisis,” “catastrophe,” and malaise created and perpetuated by… Democrats.

The only silver lining I can see to this unprecedented authoritarianism and power grab is that Obama is cementing his future as a one-termer, a la Jimmy “Malaise” Carter. And, sleepy-eyed, politics-fatigued Americans are awakening to the alarm bells and are gathering for revolution. Citizens in more than 40 American cities have organized “Tea Parties” for February 27 to peacefully protest the dangerous, reckless economic policies coming to pass far too quickly with far too much force and with far too little discussion.
Perhaps Obama ought to rethink his radical abortion and infanticide policies, because America is going to need as many warm bodies as possible to pay for back-breaking and crushing communism.

Unfortunately for me and other conservatives living within the confines of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, we have NO representation. Our other Senator, Bob Casey is a lock-step Democrat voter and best buddy of the new President. To add insult to injury, our Congresswoman is the founder of an abortion clinic. We have no recourse. Confiscatory tax rates in the state have not purchased representation for its citizens.

It is no wonder that other Americans in similar situations throughout the country are beginning to murmur – no, SHOUT – on talk radio (our only safehouse) that a revolution is coming. My husband and I disagree on this point. I feel that the deep sense of disenfranchisement many Americans have, certainly conservative Americans especially, is growing ever stronger with the passage of each day of the Obama administration. My husband hearkens back to other times when Americans have worked themselves into a lather over one controversial issue or another (be it the Lewinsky affair, illegal immigration legislation, Vietnam War, or others), and believes that this is just one of those passing cycles which will eventually die down when another news story gets my fellow talk radio masses spitting mad.

The “stimulus” bill that Obama will sign into law next week was brought to bear by forces who literally pried our mouths open and shoved it down our closed throats. I feel as though Congress just waterboarded us. The Democrat House and Senate abandoned the standard process through which legislation historically passes, regardless of the fact that the hoards of callers furious about the provisions contained in said bill melted Congressional switchboards on a daily basis for 2 weeks straight.
What about Obama’s campaign pledge that all legislation would be posted online for 5 days prior to votes? Nancy Pelosi’s laughable pledge of bipartisanship and civility?
Obama’s pledge that the practice of closed door legislation-writing would end?
Not ONE of these promises survived the first 2 weeks of the new administration.
If pushing the largest spending bill in American history through Congress, practically in the dark of night, with NOT ONE legislator having read the bill prior to the vote, hiding the provisions of the bill from the light of day is what we have to look forward to in the coming 4 years, and the blood is boiling ALREADY, strap in for a bumpy ride, kids, and please keep your wits about you. We will revolt through our voices, through our votes in the primaries and elections in 2010 and beyond, and through the internet. As difficult as it will be to turn this massive ship around, passionate Americans with the guts to speak out and gather supporters at the grassroots level will win the day…one day.

I have been doing my own taxes since I was a freshman in college. In those days, I was too poor to buy software like TurboTax and simply did the required paperwork with an old-fashioned piece of paper and a calculator without too much trouble and with no mistakes. We now, of course, use TurboTax every year, as do millions upon millions of American taxpayers, most of whom do not have a degree in economics, nor have they run the New York Fed. Geithner and Obama want the American people and the Senate to believe that in a country of more than 300 million fine people, this tax cheat is the ONLY citizen intelligent enough to run the IRS and oversee Great Depression II-inducing bailouts. Are we truly this naive? Or are we just tired? Do we have government-fatigue? We must be so tired of taxation without representation that we are just swallowing yet another lie whole without blinking.

Just as Al Gore built a secular religion on global warming, the left has crafted a new, cult-like religion around their Messiah, His Holiness Barack Obama, complete with fainting crowds, goosebump-covered devotees, and glorious visions. All we’re missing is the purple Kool-Aid. What they fail to realize is that, unlike the REAL Messiah, this one will fail. He will stumble, he will make dangerously foolish decisions (and actually already HAS while in his second day in office). If only more Americans put as much energy and faith in the real Lord and saw Obama for who he really is: a mere mortal who has spent two years convincing us that he and government are the answers to every problem, every discomfort, every challenging responsibility. And soon we will experience the ramifications of living in a society where citizens raise up all glory and praise to bureaucrats and the spark and spirit of the individual is dead. R.I.P.

Does any of this sound familiar? It does to a female blogger named Marielmesser. As a Venezuelan transplant to the US, she immediately recognized the striking and frightening resemblances between Obama and Chavez, which she lists as “inconsistencies, lies, populism, increase taxes or the perceived wealthy, and hatred of “whites” (as expressed by his wife Michelle).” I myself think of the millions of Americans who have bought – hook, line, and sinker – this Obama media mirage – no substance, merely promises, populism, race baiting, class warfare, platitudes. I think of the millions who are going to overrun Washington DC for his inauguration, with their “YES WE DID!” t-shirts, signs, and chants. I almost sympathize with this messiah who insists that he cannot attend church due to the hoards of followers and media who will swarm him and fellow parishioners. (Why would a messiah need to go to church anyway?)

Our underground conservative movement will be keeping sharp eyes on every move of Obama and formulating our resurgence for future elections. But we have a triply high mountain to climb – we are combating not only Obama, but also the media and millions of the American version of Chavez’s “red-shirts”.

Another general point about Michigan. Michigan is not a right-to-work state; in other words, it is a forced-unionization state. Companies opening new plants or factories are NOT opening them in the 28 forced unionization states. They are making a beeline to states like South Carolina, Alabama, Texas, and the 19 other states that are productive and successful. Have you noticed that the increasing number of governors that are crawling to Washington on hands and knees begging for bailouts of their own states are heads of forced unionization states? California, Michigan, Pennsylvania. You certainly don’t see Texas, Florida, Kansas, Tennessee, or Georgia governors with their hands out. There is a simple reason and it is completely wrapped in the issue of unionization.

I am not naïve enough to think that it will ever happen, but I dream about the day that the electorate in the forced unionization states would have the ability to change via the voting booth their states’ status in this regard and have the chance to make their states, companies, and citizens magnets for job creation, prosperity, freedom, and economic growth. Until then, people will have to vote with their feet, uprooting their families and moving to states where they are free to work where they please, associate with whom they please, and donate to the politicians and causes in which they believe. The impending demise of the secret union ballot will only increase economic bleeding – nay, hemorraghing – until loud voices of reason bring this danger to the forefront of the political discussion.

Barack Obama opposes federal funding of crisis pregnancy centers. Why? As a politician who rabidly supports abortions being performed in military hospitals, being paid for by the federal government, being performed on third-trimester babies by delivering them feet first and stabbing them in the skull, why would I be surprised that he opposes supporting crisis pregnancy centers? Obama claims that he wants to reduce the number of abortions in America, but by cutting off funding to centers which can help women with emotional support, material support and pre-natal care, and adoption services, he may as well drive them to the abortion clinic and perform the abortion himself. So much for wanting to prevent abortions and encourage family values and adoptions.

Barack Obama opposes EVERY legal restriction on abortion. EVERY SINGLE ONE.
He opposes giving women the CHOICE to keep the child alive through counseling, assistance. He even supports allowing a child who has survived an abortion to die on the table by denying the child medical care and legal protection under the law. Forget “pro-choice” – that is flatly “pro-abortion”. No – that is infanticide.

I don’t care what hopes you have for Obama to change the economy, to save the stock market, to save your job, to save the auto industry – if you can’t count on him to step in to save the life of a child who has survived attempted murder, what good is the rest of it?
To paraphrase a minister interviewed on CNN pre-election, economies come and go, but God’s view on His creation never changes.

1. This person should be a Republican in the sunset of his/her career, who would not need to seek a new government position at the end of Obama’s four year (God willing) administration. If said Senator comes from a very red state, he might not be able to re-gain a seat as a Republican in the Senate after serving an Obama administration, especially if conservatives are as dead-set against Obama in 2012 as in 2008.

2. This person should be a very conservative Republican to shock the systems of those of us who are rolling our eyes at and scoffing at the notion of a bi-partisan Obama cabinet. Choosing an Olympia Snowe or Chuck Hagel would certainly not be impressive or startling.

3. This person should NOT be John McCain. Please do not put your bootheel on our throats while we are down. We’ve been beaten down enough and can’t take any more after what we endured in this election. Selecting McCain would be insult piled on top of injury.

4. This person, to most effectively wound our Republican caucus, should be a well-respected and commanding vote-mover in the Senate. Snatching such a person would have the added benefit for Obama of not only marshalling the gravitas and persuasive power of that person for himself, but also depriving the Senate Republicans of a mover and shaker when it comes to key votes so that state’s Governor must replace him with a less experienced person.

5. This person should be from an on-fire red state that Obama did not win in 2008 so that when he is up for re-election, he has a better chance of switching another red state to blue by virtue of demonstrating that if a conservative Republican Senator can work in concert with a Democrat president, then surely there should be no hesitation in voting for a Democrat as supposedly bi-partisan as Obama.

6. This person ought to be chosen for a typically conservative-issue Cabinet spot. For instance, selecting a true hawk for Secretary of Defense would truly demonstrate bi-partisanship, instead of choosing a weak, linguine-spined, fence-straddling RINO who will be a yes-man to Obama instead of challenging him and his intellectual honesty.

I most certainly do not offer these thoughts as an assist to Barack Obama, but as the opposition, we should be one step ahead!
